Hello, I’m Katie! 👋🏼
Born and raised in Chicago, I recently just graduated with a Graphic Design degree and a focus in User Experience Design at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign!
While taking my Graphic Design courses, I learned more about human-centered design and problem solving through design. I realized this was the career I always dreamt about; being creative while producing meaningful work. It is always challenging but never boring and I am so excited to continue my journey in the industry.
My goal for my design journey is to create positive changes through my work and challenge myself to design for the improvement of people’s daily lives. I want to tackle the obvious and subtle issues. The importance of design is evident in every aspect of our daily lives which is why I know what I am doing is worth it. Thank you for joining me on my journey!

When I am not designing, I like to try out new hair colors or make YouTube videos. I am also a TV show and movie fanatic. I am currently watching The Last of Us on HBO. You can also catch me buying any cute plushie I see.
I am Chinese-American and am the first generation in my family to go to college. I’m bilingual so I can speak Cantonese and English, and a little bit of Mandarin. I hope to visit Guangzhou again soon ☺
Some of my future goals are to have my own dog and cat and learn to dance on a longboard! I am also dabbling in crocheting and making small things.
🍣🥟🍉🥭🌶🍜🥐 I love food! My favorites are sushi, ramen, hotpot, Korean BBQ, most spicy food, fruits, and bread!
Hobbies: Content creation, eating good food, binging shows, traveling, and going to concerts! I enjoy playing games like Minecraft, The Sims, Brawlstars, and I love Mario Kart!!
Some opinions I have: Marvel > DC obviously, Christian Bale was the best Batman, Chicago has the best skyline (might be biased), and spice makes everything better! ☺
